The Movie A Clockwork Orange Fully Reviewed

Some movies are about love and romance, others are about heartbreak over failure with regards to success, A Clockwork Orange is about neither. For this film focuses on the violent acts of a futuristic gang led by a lad that goes by the name of Alex and his options later, once his actions became known. In addition, these crimes are brutally violent, especially for such a long running film.

However, one can find ways to escape the main issue on the screen relating to violence by focusing on one of the many colorful objects set in the backdrop in nearly every scene of the movie. Also, because sadly some of the criminal events in this film have become far more common since the nineteen seventies, even today many people find this movie a difficult choice, especially those having been victims of such crimes in the past.

As a matter of fact, sometimes individuals have asked if this movie has had an impact on the development and popularity of gangs. However, as Al Capone can attest, gangs were around long before A Clockwork Orange. So, while no is the most likely answer, this does not mean that other criminally minded individuals may not use the images and plot in a negative way with regards to such behavior.

Although if one can handle the brutal violence and overall subject matter, then one can generally stay to the point where one sees a change beginning to occur in Alex. A change that is partially thanks to the experiences and partially due to receiving a get out of jail early option, that is as long as he goes to experimental treatment. Of course, given the choice, most hard core criminals would take experimental treatment over prison any day. However, in this case, one often finds that it may have been best to ask more questions before doing so.

Regardless, this movie is one which many people try to analyze over and again in relation to the characters and whether Alex, the lead, is either good or evil, whether he is a victim or a villain. For, while the crimes which his gang committed were brutal, others have also indicated that the individuals administering the program beyond his will along with their tactics is clearly torture. Which do you believe? For, only oneself can answer such a questioned based on their own ideologies behind good and evil or right and wrong.

With regards to Karma, the writer plays a very active role in defining how gangs can be a drawback to life. The writer also portrays a good example of how only caring about lust and money can drive one insane. In addition, by swirling toward the end of the movie by providing characters from the beginning, one is drawn to the conclusion that the current experiences Alex is going through are all based in Karma. Regardless, the question remains as to whether such imprisonment, torture and treatment were good or bad for Alex in the future.

One can also look at different methods in which the movie can effect one in their personal life. One such way the film does so is by returning Alex to his past. Again and again, he encounters the victims he left behind before going to jail and being transferred to treatment. Thus, always returning Alex back to a time in the past. Something, not a lot of people enjoy, even those who have not been involved in crimes against those with whom relationships have ended.

To this end, there are a lot of valuable lessons which can be learn from A Clockwork Orange about crime, gangs and Karma, all of which play a vital role in the universal laws of reality. For, whether one believes in Karma or not, generally one gets back the energy one gives out. To this end, most individuals have good and bad days. However, it is those individuals who take it to the next level and take their frustrations out on the innocent which are the ones most commonly effected by Karma and other such ideologies.
